Wanna A Good Scare? Slutty Girls On Halloween Tops the List!

Most women find it exciting to dress like a total slut on All Hallows Eve. Sorry ladies, you look trashy. I admire a girl with Taste and a Costume that screams CREATIVITY!
Just thought I'd put in my two cents.

Happy Halloween to the Innovative
...and slutty.

ViVa El PeRu

I am absolutely in Love with this fashion spread from March 2008 UK Vogue shot by Mario Testino in Peru. The patterns and colors are Magnifying and I want a WHOLE wardrobe based on the Beautiful Peruvian Vibe. I’m kind of jealous of the clothing and I am shopping the market for some similar silhouettes!

My best friend is in Peru right now...

Pete’: Send me some beautiful Scenic pictures for inspiration.

Asian Invasion

Now that fashion week (s) are over, every other country is showing off their Talent. I decided to check out the big leagues in JAPAN and came to the conclusion that they should be included in the “big leagues” of Official fashion week. I compared 3 of my favorite collections to Parsian designers and of course conjured up some new opinions.

First off, 85% of Japan has some sort of Comme de Garcons element. My question is why they aren’t they showing in Paris?

Second, I can tell they take inspirations from other designers. The Fur Fur Collection had some Sonia Rykiel combined with Harajuku culture. Adorable.

Third, Japan Loves distressed fabrics layered on top of the other. Thank god for Asian construction otherwise we may have some homeless looking models on the runway.

Fur Fur

The Dress & Co Hideaki Sakaguchi

To conclude, Japan deserves more coverage, because we’re missing out on some exciting flair. There are some contenders who stump American designers.

I won’t name names.

~I’ll save that for another day, another post.

It Was Usually My Fault

I like to think this picture is me when I attended Solomon Schechter Academy in 5th grade (Yes, it's a Jewish school). Without the cigarette of course, but I'm sure Mrs. Rosenzweig thought I did that too since I was such a Rebel.

I loved to drive those Jews crazy and my fashion caused quite a controversy.
Age 10 I was wearing tie up wedges from Trash and Vaudville and I wanted to make The Wizard of Oz to Janet Jackson music instead of the original songs.

I'm proud of my childhood, I had an amazing imagination.
Still Do.

Who’s seen Coco in the Trocadero?

I took in a movie this afternoon and made the wise choice of choosing Coco Avant Chanel. Not only was the film Visually stunning, you can't take your eyes off of Audrey Tautou. She embodied Coco Chanel to a T and instantly became an inspiration to me. I will be renting some more of her movies ASAP.

Fattie Compliment

Yesterday, Fashion Director of Teen Vogue Gloria Baume told me I have great style. I didn't document the the outfit so here is a rough description: Plaid 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, opaque tights, black socks and theory buckle ankle boots.
A Big Fat Compliment from a woman of great style.

Thanks Glor.
A New Inspiration of mine.

She totally pulled this off.

~ I probably would too since I have Great Style.

Welcome to America! (In 3 Months)

I have very exciting news. Parisian designer, Isabel Marant will be opening a store in Soho in February. I am so excited for her American debut. Her chic, casual style is PERFECT for the NYC atmosphere.

It's probably the best news I heard all day besides the fact I got a B in my Construction class.
~Nah this is Better.

You Will Be Missed.

We remember Irving Penn for his impact on the fashion world and photography that defined a generation.

Can I be Honest? From One Jew to Another

I am so disappointed by the Louis Vuitton collection. I'm sorry Marc Jacobs but it was awful.
I had to get that off my chest.

~I feel much better.

I don't even want to show it on my blog, so if you feel the need, check it out here.

King of Queens

Species originates by descent, with variation, from parent forms, through the natural selection of those individuals best adapted for the reproductive success of their kind.
I hate science, (unless it has to do with nutrition) but when it comes to an evolution in fashion, Alexander McQueen always wins the science fair. I’m honestly never disappointed.

I think a volcano erupted when the first model stepped out on the runway.

~Sorry Nicholas Kirkwood, Alexander McQueen Stomped You.
