ישראל

Alright, let’s start from the beginning. From Israel, to jetlag, to quality time with my mother, I’ve been jam packed in the most relaxing way possible. I’ll spare the jetlag and mother daughter weekend and fill you in on all the dets of my trip to KosherLand. Being an incredibly gorgeous country, I received so much inspiration from unexpected places. The stunning scenery of Masada, Yad Vashem (The Holocaust museum) was beautiful and overwhelming, and the artist colony of Tsfat were just a few of my cultural experiences. Everyone asked me if I felt more Jewish or if I understand my heritage, and more questions that seemed like one cliché after another. To be honest, I don’t feel more Jewish and I don’t fully understand my heritage. The best thing I can take with me from Israel is best said my new friend, Udi (Our Israeli Medic). “You are not Jew-ish, you are a Jew.” Let’s leave it at that and I’ll let you experience Israel in your own time.

Take the plunge and fly the 12 hours.

To my germaphobic mother and the rest of the people who bring their own sheets to hotels: Bring a lot of hand sanitizer, long flight=close quarters=smelly Jews.
